IDEAS-TVET Project Flag-Off Held in Gombe State
The flag-off marks the commencement of IDEAS-TVET activities in Gombe State, with a focus on practical skills development, youth employability and entrepreneurship.

Gombe State has officially marked the flag-off of the Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project, an important initiative supporting the development of market-relevant technical and vocational skills for young Nigerians.

The flag-off ceremony brought together key stakeholders from government, education, technical and vocational training institutions, development partners, industry, and other relevant sectors to commemorate the commencement of activities under the IDEAS-TVET Project in the state.

The project is designed to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), improve access to practical skills development, and enhance opportunities for young people to acquire competencies relevant to employment, entrepreneurship and the evolving labour market.

For Gombe State, the initiative represents an opportunity to further connect skills training with industry needs, while creating pathways for young people to develop practical competencies and participate more effectively in the creative and technical economy.
